We are instructed as strategic adviser in the acquisition of property interests covering a 27.1km stretch of the CTRL. We play a vital role in a team that includes solicitors, engineers and contractors, ensuring that land acquisitions are completed on time and within budget. This role includes preparing budget cost estimates (currently totalling c£200m), taking possession of land and negotiating compensation. We are required to value a diverse range of property interests and assess the disturbance entitlement to a wide range of residential and
commercial occupiers. In the event of dispute we have been involved with Lands Tribunal hearings and referrals to Alternative Dispute Resolution.
