The regeneration of this 70 acre (28.3 ha) former steel works and tipped land for J J Gallagher at J9/M6 has generated extensive development from a heavily polluted site. The complex planning context involved two local authorities, Sandwell and Walsall MBCs and the former Black Country Development Corporation. Ikea, B&Q and Currys are among the major retail occupiers, together with Riva Bingo. As lead planning consultants we successfully negotiated consents, but have also been involved in Appeal and Local Plan Inquiries and Legal Challenges to secure this development. |
