	The 1995 rateable value was reduced on negotiation from £897,000 to £536,500 saving over £150,000 in rates. For the 2000 List, the Valuation Officer entered the premises in the List at RV £700,000. Following discussions on the underlying scheme, the revised layout of the hospital premises and the values adopted for each part, a reduction to RV £540,000 was agreed in March 2003. This saved the RMH NHS Trust over £271,000 in rates in total for the 2000-2005 period, with an immediate refund of rates of just over £127,000 plus interest and the remainder comprising future notional savings as a result of our appeal.
