GL Hearn’s Occupier Advisory team continue to advise Brooks Macdonald on the restructuring of their regional business presence, securing new office space in the heart of Birmingham

02 March 2022

Continuing their regional office restructure, Brooks Macdonald has opened a new office in Birmingham’s city centre. The new space replaces their former office in Leamington Spa and continues their regional restructure across the Midlands, the South West and Wales.

The move is a milestone in Brooks Macdonald’s corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy, which is a key factor in the search for the perfect property. The new office, at Somerset House in the city, offers first-class amenities for the Brooks Macdonald team, and improved connectivity and transport. Both important factors in the decision to move to this new space.

A long-term client for GL Hearn’s Occupier Advisory team, we have advised on Brooks Macdonald’s workspace strategy since 2018, working on a UK-wide mandate to realise their portfolio strategy.

Tracy Cooper, GL Hearn’s Occupier Advisory Director, acting for Brooks Macdonald, commented: “Birmingham is a key location for any business wanting to strengthen their presence in the Midlands market. Brooks Macdonald’s new eco-friendly environment, right in the heart of the city, offers access to fantastic amenities as well as providing a solid platform for the business to grow from.”

On this deal, GL Hearn undertook the search for a new office, locating the building and securing the acquisition.
