GL Hearn’s Head of DCO, Energy and Infrastructure, Ian Shrubsall, worked on the EDF Hinkley Point project from its inception in 2006, advising on a full range of land and planning matters, and overall strategy.

His role included land acquisition offers and heads of terms, site investigations, strategy and applications, Planning Performance Agreements heads of terms and negotiations, and community mitigation strategy. He advised on Rights of Way, EIA scoping, Stage 1 and Stage 2 DCO consultation inputs and reviews, preliminary works, site preparation and jetty planning supporting statement, accommodation planning strategy and review of accommodation viability appraisals.
