GL Hearn is the strategic planning adviser for London Luton Airport. Recent work included preparing a detailed application for maximising throughput at the existing airport, and devising the strategy for a potential Development Consent Order for the longer term expansion of the airport.

GL Hearn was the planning lead and project manager for the preparation of the planning application for the reconfiguration of the existing airport, including transport improvements and environmental assessments.

We also coordinated communications with the local planning authority and neighbouring authorities, and the Infrastructure Planning Commission (as it was known then), in preparation for a DCO application. Our in house consultation and community engagement team were responsible for arranging and undertaking all of the local consultation events, and preparing the consultation report to support the planning application and potential future DCO application.
