Jonathan Percy

Jonathan is a Business Rates Director at GL Hearn, specialising solely in non-domestic rating appeals and ancillary rating matters.

An experienced chartered surveyor, with over 15 years' property experience, Jonathan has a degree in Real Estate Management.

He provides rating advice to both private and public sector clients and has a range of experience that includes dealing with bulk class properties valued by reference to the rentals approach, together with complex and specialised hereditaments.

Jonathan chaired 2010 RSA Town Centre committees in London and the home counties, for both compiled list and material change appeals and successfully appeared at the valuation tribunal. 

For the 2017 rating list he has run several group pre-challenge reviews agreeing a scheme of value, enabling the client to have an accurate rating assessment.

Jonathan’s memberships include the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Rating Surveyors’ Association and Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation where he is also a member of the Faculty Board.
