Property consultancy GL Hearn has today launched the 4th Annual Planning Survey - the first to take place after the General Election. The survey is conducted in partnership with the British Property Federation (BPF) and is one of the largest independent studies on the views of practitioners in the planning system in England.

GL Hearn’s Annual Planning Survey looks to understand changing attitudes to the system of both those seeking planning permission and those determining applications. This year’s survey will ask planning decision-makers about a range of planning related topics including housing delivery, neighbourhood plans, regeneration of brownfield sites and support for Garden Cities. The survey will also examine respondents’ opinions of the previous Government’s planning policies together with their hopes and expectations for the new Government.

The survey only takes about five minutes to complete and all answers will be held in strictest confidence. Private sector respondents will have the option to enter a prize draw for £500.00 worth of John Lewis vouchers and, as in previous years, local planning authority respondents will be able to enter a prize draw for £500.00 to be given to a charity of their choice.

Once all results have been collected and analysed, GL Hearn will share the aggregated findings from the survey with all participants. Presentation of the full survey results will take place in London on 13th October 2015 at The British Library Conference Centre and in Manchester on 15th October.
