GL Hearn’s residential planning team has assisted One Housing Group to secure full, listed building and conservation area consent for the redevelopment of the housing association’s HQ at 100 Chalk Farm Road, Camden.

The planning proposal for the residential-led mixed-use scheme comprises of 63 residential units with retail and restaurant uses, alongside 879 sq m of high-quality office accommodation.

GL Hearn brought its multi-disciplinary services to the fold to assist in securing planning consent for this complex scheme, carrying out a viability study for affordable housing and providing building services, which included the development of a Building Services refurbishment report for One Housing Group. The project also required political, stakeholder and community engagement which was provided by GL Hearn’s in-house strategic communications team.

On the planning consent, Planning Director for GL Hearn, Chris Pittock, said:

“This was a challenging project given the heritage assets within the immediate locale, employment issues and viability considerations however our multi-disciplinary approach meant that we were able to offer strategic and coordinated advice to guide One Housing Group through the planning process. We are delighted to have been able to secure a positive outcome for our client.”
