Bob is responsible for Landlord and Tenant matters, particularly in the south west and specialises in the foodstore sector of the retail market. He is a Fellow of the RICS with 40 years post qualification experience.

Bob provides rent review and lease renewal advice to occupiers, particularly food retailers and heads a small team responsible for convenience store work on behalf of Tesco and the Mid Counties Co-operative. He regularly handles Third Party Referrals in respect of foodstores.

He also undertakes petrol filling station rent reviews and valuations for most of the major food retailers and has many years experience in this specialist field.

Prior to joining GL Hearn, Bob held the post of Regional Estates Manager with Safeway Stores Plc and when the Company outsourced its Estates Management function to Rapleys in November 1999 he transferred as an Associate Partner.

At Safeway his role entailed a wide range of Estates Management work including rent reviews, lease renewals, disposals of redundant stores, store extensions, service charges, rating and management of the sublet portfolio.

Prior to that Bob gained 12 years of public sector experience with Bristol City Valuers including the management of the Broadmead Shopping Centre and handling the negotiations for the development of “The Galleries” shopping development.
