Ian Cole

Ian is a Business Rates Associate Director and key member of the High Street and Bulk Class team, providing specific advice relating to rating matters for clients across the UK.

With over 20 years’ experience in the private sector, Ian has dealt with a variety of differing types of property such as retail, offices and industrial and is the leading Director for several key business rates clients.

He is currently involved in appeal work for large food store properties on the 2010 and 2017 Rating List in Sussex, Kent, Surrey and the south of London.

Ian has chaired a number of Rating Surveyor's Association coordination committees in various retail locations and has presented several cases to a full valuation tribunal hearing on behalf of clients, and has been involved in Upper Tribunal cases.
