JP joined Capita in 2005 and leads the Civil and Structural Engineering team. Prior to joining Capita, he worked at Sir Norman Foster & Partners and was a Director at BDP. He has over 30 years of experience in building design across a wide variety of property sectors.

He has been responsible for the design and delivery of key projects for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Kings College London, Corporation of London, Wimbledon AELTCC, the Royal Albert Hall, the BBC, BAT, BMI hospitals and ExxonMobil.

JP leads a specialist “site value team” which focuses on unlocking value on challenging sites with, for example, ground contamination or underground obstructions such as tunnels or drainage restrictions and dealing with negotiations with the Highways Agencies, the EA and other Authorities.

He also leads the design of modular buildings manufactured from shipping containers and transported across the globe from a factory based in China.  For several years these buildings have been successfully delivered around the world, including in seismic zones such as San Francisco. The team provides structural design - using leading industry software - from multi-storey buildings to Grade Listed building refurbishments to long spanning industrial buildings with highly integrated MEP installations
