Dr Sheng is a highly regarded and leading expert in the arena of air quality, carbon assessment and climate change. She has a proven track record of accelerating growth and leads air quality and climate change team.

With over 25 years’ experience in air quality,  Dr Xiangyu Sheng has a wide range of expertise in air quality emission, assessment and monitoring, dust monitoring and management, air dispersion and odour modelling, emission inventory, environmental impact assessment and climate change, using a range of modelling tools, including ADMS suite models, Webtag and DMRB. She has provided formal technical evidence for planning meetings and at public inquiries. She has worked in the UK and Asia pacific region with extensive experiences on large-scale international projects including the Cooperation Programme, EU-China Liaoning integrated Environmental Programme and the EU-China Low Carbon and Environmental Sustainability Programme.  She was a technical director for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Air Quality Forecasting System funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).  She published a book titled “Air Dispersion Modelling in Regulatory Applications” and has over 30 publications at refereed Journal and international conferences.

Xiangyu is a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society (FRMets), a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Chartered Physicist (CPhys), a Chartered Scientist (CSci) and a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).
