GL Hearn advised High Speed 1, providing property cost estimates, negotiating land acquisitions involving 350 interests, and giving evidence to the Lands Tribunal and attending dispute hearings.

Working with engineers, architects, forensic accountants and other disciplines to secure the necessary result on time and within budget, GL Hearn advised on two route sections secured by tender, with respect to Property Cost Estimate (PCE); pre-acquisition negotiations; taking possession of land and compensation negotiations totalling £200M, new rights acquisitions, lands tribunal references, and subsequent surplus land marketing and disposal.
