GL Hearn has undertaken a number of projects for Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead on Maidenhead town centre.

Members of the GL Hearn team led on the production of the Town Centre Area Action Plan for RBWM, which was formally adopted in 2011 in advance of the Core Strategy. In parallel, the team has been providing delivery and implementation advice in respect of a number of key development opportunities identified in the AAP.

GL Hearn has recently advised RBWM in relation to the preparation of a development framework for the York Road Opportunity Area. We have led a competition to appoint an architect for a first phase of the project and preparation of a development framework which we have publicly consulted on.

GL Hearn has also advised on the Chapel Arches development within the High Street East Opportunity Area for a retail/leisure/residential development. We also assisted the Council in 2013 on the successful application for Growing Places Funding for the Maidenhead Waterway project, and have advised on what is now the Landing scheme at the Broadway.

We are also providing planning and development consultancy advice on the St Clouds Way opportunity area, involving the potential relocation of the Magnet Leisure Centre and the production of a development framework for 500 new homes.
