Paul Edwards

Paul has worked in acoustic consultancy since 2002 and has gained a wide range of experience covering all aspects of acoustics in the built environment. He has specialised in building and architectural acoustics, gaining extensive project management experience in the residential, education, workplace, leisure and healthcare sectors.

Notable projects include:

• Leicester Royal Infirmary New Emergency Department – a heavily serviced layout required complex assessment of mechanical services crosstalk.
• Newfield ASD School, Blackburn – very stringent acoustic performance standards were applied to create a suitable learning environment for pupils on the autistic spectrum.
• Green Quarter Block 7, Manchester – a high-profile 15 storey residential development overlooking a noisy ring road on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre.
• Defence National Rehabilitation Centre, Loughborough – a large rehabilitation campus for service men and women comprising a mix of living and healthcare facilities in a combination of new build and listed refurbished buildings.
• Blackburn Cinema, Lancashire – full design stage acoustics design services for a new-build 8 screen cinema with adjoining retail units and a 100 space undercroft car park.
