Unanimous approval of the reserved matters planning application has been secured at Barnet Council's first online planning committee.

Consent has been successfully secured for the new Brent Cross West Thameslink rail station. The new station is the last, and crucial element, of the Thameslink sub-phase of the development.

The £4.5 billion Brent Cross Cricklewood development is Barnet Council’s most significant growth and regeneration programme and will create a new sustainable mixed-use town centre for Barnet.

GL Hearn is appointed by London Borough of Barnet to provide planning advice as part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood scheme and will see the comprehensive regeneration of 151 hectares to create a sustainable new town centre for Barnet and North London including substantial residential and commercial use.

The scheme is comprised of three main elements: Brent Cross London – a modern shopping centre extension; Brent Cross South – a new high street and 6,700 new homes; and Brent Cross Thameslink – a new Thameslink station, this ambitious project is transformational in concept, design and delivery, providing sustainable long-term investment for generations to come through successful public-private partnership.
