GL Hearn deliver draft Masterplan to rejuvenate Cleethorpes into a year-round coastal destination.

GL Hearn’s Design team, in partnership with Hemingway Design, has delivered a brand-new vision for the future of Cleethorpes in a draft Masterplan unveiled this month. Cabinet members agreed to adopt the Cleethorpes Masterplan following a special Cabinet meeting earlier this week (Wednesday 16 March).

More than 2,700 people have taken part in an extensive public consultation survey, feeding into plans to transform Cleethorpes into a year-round destination incorporating a large amphitheatre and seafront event space alongside a youth-focused north promenade, bars and cafés, a skate park, and new visitor and education centre.

Working alongside Hemingway Design, GL Hearn devised the Masterplan which has received the greenlight from Council officials, and is now set to bring investment to the town and drive the future redevelopment of the area over the next 30 years – transforming Cleethorpes into Lincolnshire’s premier coastal destination and bringing a wealth of new job opportunities to the local area.

As the plan enters the next stage of the process, GL Hearn will be leading on the production of outline business cases to support North East Lincolnshire Council’s application for government Levelling Up funding.
