Andrew Collyer

Andrew heads up our specialist Empty Property team. He has expertise in Non-Domestic Rating and in particular, discretionary reliefs and exemptions. He works with our largest clients to secure savings.

Andrew has considerable experience within the industry having worked in the public sector for over 20 years before joining the private sector.

Andrew draws on his previous experience of working in local government, which gives him an invaluable insight into how Non-Domestic Rating discretionary reliefs and exemptions are assessed and awarded.

Andrew works with our largest retail and manufacturing clients on innovative solutions for minimising rates liabilities. He has a demonstrable track record in securing and delivering substantial savings through rate mitigation strategies, and since joining GL Hearn in 2019, has secured more than £5 million of savings for our clients.
