Dennis Broughton

Dennis is a Business Rates Director based at our Manchester office, where he heads up the Business Rates team. He has a proven track record for the delivery of savings to clients, through proactive management of mitigation strategies and a wealth of technical knowledge.

Dennis is a chartered surveyor in both Denmark and England and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Rating Diploma holders section.

He has spent a number of years specializing in rating matters across the UK and is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of non-domestic rating, to include appeal strategy, rates management and rates audit, consultancy on certification issues, reliefs, empty rates legislation, the legality of rate demands and completion notices.

He has broad experience in the rating valuation of bulk class properties such as retail, office and industrial premises but considerable expertise in the rating valuation of specialist properties including classes such as distribution centres, automotive plants and health centres.

Dennis is responsible for advising GLHearn’s specialist occupier clients, such as Amazon, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Rolls Royce and Vauxhall and NHS England, NHS CHP and NHS Property Services in respect of their specialist properties.
